Hello friends, old and new, of Quattro Books!
hQ, or headQuarters, is the official blog of Quattro Books Inc. Run by Assistant Publisher Maddy Curry (hello there!), hQ is intended to be a fun, light-hearted hub for the latest in Quattro and Quattro author news – and then some. Think of it as your local pub: a place to stop in, enjoy a drink and get the latest news and gossip…well, you’ll have to provide your own drinks. Expect musings, fun videos and industry insights. Also be on the look-out for ‘Wednesday Weigh-In’: as a recent graduate and relative newbie to the publishing scene, I will be sharing my duties, challenges, and thoughts on the industry, as I learn more and more here at Quattro Books.
Quattro Books is a small, dynamic press based out of Toronto. I started working for them as an intern in the summer of 2010, following the completion of my undergrad. There’s a reason I’ve stuck around; it’s an amazing press with fantastic publishers at the helm: John Calabro, Luciano Iacobelli, Beatriz Hausner and Allan Briesmaster. These four represent a much needed force in Canadian literature today, and I feel very honoured to be working for them.
